PMC Clinician In Running for Nurse of the Year Award

POCATELLO — The wound care clinical coordinator at Portneuf Medical Center, Annie Mowrey, recently found out she is one of nine finalists vying for the national Mary Cook Nurse of the Year Award.

The Mary Cook Nurse of the Year Award is annually awarded to a dedicated, skilled and compassionate registered nurse who is committed to their patients and to the improvement of care within the expertise, according to a news release.

Mowrey’s performance was evaluated based on the following key areas: The center’s healing success rate, an overall sense of teamwork, being able to exceed customer expectations, along with a personal sense of integrity, commitment, achievement, and continuous improvement.

PMC’s Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center is one of over 350 care centers across the country that were evaluated in association with this award.
