Intensive Outpatient Program

Portneuf’s Intensive Outpatient Program is a psychiatric physician-supervised treatment program for patients aged 18 and older who continue to live within their community but need additional psychiatric support. Group members usually have a history of a serious mood disorder, often with a co-existing anxiety disorder and/or thought disorder. The program is designed to prevent admission to an inpatient psychiatric unit if possible, through early assessment and intervention. The program is further designed to treat:

  • Depression & Anxiety
  • Unfounded fears
  • Sleep disorders
  • Dysfunctional patterns of behavior that impede daily living
  • Also provides specialized care in medication monitoring and management

Intensive Outpatient group meets on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.

Evening Dual Diagnosis Program Group meets Monday and Wednesday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm, and Friday from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
