Predrag Gligorovic, MD
Medical Director
Behavioral Health Program
Predrag Gligorovic, M.D. is an American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology Certified General Adult Psychiatrist. He attended medical school at University of Belgrade, Serbia. He was further trained through the Psychiatry Residency program at the West Virginia University Hospital in Morgantown. While in Morgantown, Dr. Gligorovic championed an award-winning program where physicians volunteered their time in an effort to provide psychiatric care for financially disadvantaged patients.
Dr. Gligorovic reintroduced Electro Convulsive Therapy (ECT) to Pocatello, and successfully established this treatment modality at Portneuf Medical Center according to the highest National standards. He was additionally trained and certified at Columbia University Presbyterian Hospital in New York to provide ECT treatment.
Under Dr. Gligorovic's leadership, our Behavioral Health Inpatient program was awarded Horizon Mental Health Management's “clinical program of the year” in 2008. As recognition of our clinical work we became a teaching site for the University of Washington psychiatry residency training Idaho program.
Ehab Abdallah, M.D., MPH
Behavioral Health
Dr. Abdallah obtained his medical degree from Alexandria University in Alexandria, Egypt. He completed his residency training in Psychiatry at West Virginia University. Dr. Abdallah is double board certified, General Psychiatry and Consultation Liaison Psychiatry (Psychosomatic Medicine). Dr. Abdallah’s expertise is in treating psychiatric illnesses in-patient with medical conditions. He is passionate about quality care and patient privacy.
Steven Ater, Psy.D.
Clinical Psychology
Dr. Ater comes to Portneuf Medical Center by way of Vernal, Utah where he has been in private practice for the last five years. Dr. Ater earned his doctorate in clinical psychology from Wheaton College and served his internship at the Dayton V.A. Medical Center. He completed a residency in clinical neuropsychology and neurorehabilitation at the Drake Center in Cincinnati, Ohio and followed that with a second residency in child and family psychology at Ashley Family Clinic in Utah.
Dr. Ater believes that when it comes to overcoming challenges like serious mental illness or traumatic brain injury, it’s not just a single patient who needs help, support, and education, but those close to the patient as well. He believes that the best outcomes occur when the family is an active and involved part of the healing process.
In his spare time Dr. Ater enjoys outdoor pursuits with his wife and two daughters, playing guitar and cooking foods that make his daughters wish for a box of macaroni and cheese.
William Hazle, MD joined the medical staff at Portneuf Medical Center in 2002. The year after joining Portneuf's Behavioral Health, Dr. Hazle received the National Horizon Medical Director of the Year award.
Prior to moving to Pocatello, Dr. Hazle served fellow veterans for over four years in Sheridan, Wyoming as staff psychiatrist and associate chief of staff for mental health services. Before he moved to the "deep west" Dr. Hazle lived and worked in San Francisco Bay area for twenty years. He held many administrative and supervising positions at local hospitals and with the State of California.
His obtained graduate degrees in medicine and psychiatry from Loma Linda University in Southern California. The American Society of Addiction Medicine also granted him a fellowship in addiction medicine.
Dr. Hazle is drawn to the Rocky Mountains because of his love of open space, blue skies, and photography.
Courtney Hill, PA-C
Courtney Hill is originally from the Boise, Idaho area. After receiving her Associate's Degree in Biology from Northern College of Idaho, Courtney moved to Pocatello to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Zoology at Idaho State University. Courtney graduated from the Physician Assistant (PA) Program at Idaho State University summer 2007. During that time, Courtney was drawn to the field of psychiatry while doing rotation work with the Behavioral Health Team here at Portneuf. These interests lead her to additional elective rotations in psychiatry. Courtney is involved with the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Idaho Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Idaho Board of Medicine. She is also a member of PMC's Shared Governance Committee.
On a more personal note, Courtney enjoys backcountry skiing, running and hiking. She is a member of the Idaho Cycling Enthusiasts Club. Her husband, Dave, is also a Physician Assistant and she has a step daughter, Lia.
Elisabeth Kinghorn, PA-C
Elisabeth Kinghorn joined the Portneuf Medical Center Behavioral Health team in 2007 after graduating from Idaho State University's Physician Assistant Program. As a student, she spent a lot of time in clinical rotations working with Portneuf Behavioral Health. It was during that time that she discovered she enjoyed working in the field of Psychiatry and it was a good fit for her.
