Casting for Recovery
Free Fly Fishing Retreat and Seminar for Breast Cancer Patients & Survivors promoting Mental, Physical & Emotional Healing
Casting for Recovery has an annual retreat in Idaho every June. The First Annual Retreat took place in June of 2007. At each retreat, fourteen breast cancer patients and survivors from all over Idaho gather together at an idyllic resort or lodgetype setting somewhere in Idaho. These women are introduced to the sport of fly fishing and to each other- a whole new adventure. A staff of fishing instructors, nurses, doctors, social workers, mental health workers and assorted help lead these very special participants into the world of rods, reels and recovery.
