Everyone Needs a Little H.O.P.E.
A cancer diagnosis can have many affects on a person's life. Along with the physical impact of cancer, it can affect a person emotionally, financially, and spiritually, resulting in added pressures on social and family relationships.
When someone is diagnosed with cancer, it can be very helpful to speak with other cancer patients. At the H.O.P.E. Cancer Support Group you will have an opportunity to share your observations, speak with others who have faced similar hardships, and learn how to manage the stress you might face. Come share, learn, and laugh with us.
Our group is comprised of patients who are currently receiving treatment, patients in remission or cancer-free, and caregivers. We choose topics that are relevant to cancer survivors at various stages of diagnosis and survivorship.
We also recognize the challenges that supportive family and friends face, especially those in care giver roles. From time to time we invite guest speakers from the community to come speak on topics that are helpful to cancer patients and their support network. Bring a family member, friend, or just bring yourself.
