Prepares participants to become Basic Life Support or Heartsaver CPR Instructors.

COURSE PREREQUISITES

  • Must complete that candidate application and be accepted by training center.
  • Must provide a Letter of Recommendation from current or former supervisor that can give an account of your interpersonal skills, attention to detail and work ethic.
  • Must complete the AHA Instructor Essentials Course prior to class (allow for approximately 2 hours) and bring the completion certificate 
  • Must have a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR card

The AHA Instructor Essentials code will be given prior to class for online completion. BLS instructor teaching materials are not included in course fee.  Dependent on instructors needs, those materials will be provided at an additional cost. Please call for material pricing and package deals. Course certification is valid for two years.

Daycare Pediatric Provider Package American Heart Association

This class is taught by American Heart Association (AHA) Certified Instructors and covers infant/child and adult CPR, obstructed airways, the Heimlich Maneuver, use of a barrier device, AED (Automated External Defribrillator) hands on training and pediatric first aid basics. When you take the Heartsaver Pediatric CPR AED along with the Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid in the same month you receive a $10 savings. These classes meet daycare provider requirements for the Pocatello and Chubbuck area.

The course includes a textbook and certification card that is valid for 2 years. Books will be mailed out prior to class. Please review book before class and then bring to class. Certification cards will be mailed within 30 days after completion of the course. Temporary completion certificates available at class upon request.

Family and Friends Adult/Child/Infant CPR

This class is taught by American Heart Association (AHA) Certified Instructors and includes instruction on making the emergency call, infant/child/adult CPR and choking and demonstration of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator).

Be better prepared to do the right thing for your family, children, grandchildren, friends and neighbors when an emergency arises. This program is ideal for community members who want to learn CPR but do not need a certification card.

Each participant receives a booklet and re-usable pocket mask. Not a certifying course.

Healthcare Provider CPR/AED American Heart Association

The class is appropriate for those who work directly with patients, are involved in a healthcare profession or enrolled in a healthcare profession education program.

This class is taught by American Heart Association (AHA) Certified Instructors and covers first aid basics, medical emergencies, injury emergencies, and environmental emergencies.  Students will be instructed on how to manage an injury or illness until professional help arrives. This class is recommended for emergency response teams, safety personnel, construction workers, etc.

The course includes a textbook and certification card that is valid for 2 years. Books will be mailed out prior to class. Please review book before class and then bring to class.
