Prepares participants to become Basic Life Support or Heartsaver CPR Instructors.

COURSE PREREQUISITES

  • Must complete that candidate application and be accepted by training center.
  • Must provide a Letter of Recommendation from current or former supervisor that can give an account of your interpersonal skills, attention to detail and work ethic.
  • Must complete the AHA Instructor Essentials Course prior to class (allow for approximately 2 hours) and bring the completion certificate 
  • Must have a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR card

    The AHA Instructor Essentials code will be given prior to class for online completion. BLS instructor teaching materials are not included in course fee.  Dependent on instructors needs, those materials will be provided at an additional cost. Please call for material pricing and package deals. Course certification is valid for two years.

When you take the Heartsaver Pediatric CPR AED along with the Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid in the same month you receive a $10 savings. If taken separately class prices will be higher. These classes meet daycare provider requirements for the Pocatello and Chubbuck area.

The course includes a textbook and certification card. Books will be mailed out prior to class. Please review book before class and then bring to class. Certification cards will be mailed within 30 days after completion of the course. Certificates available at class upon request.

Family and Friends Adult/Child/Infant CPR

Be better prepared to do the right thing for your children, loved ones, and neighbors when an emergency arises. This program is ideal for community members who want to learn CPR but do not need a course completion card. Program content includes; making the emergency call, child/adult CPR and choking, and demonstration of an Automated External Defibrillator.

Each participant receives a booklet and re-usable pocket mask. Not a certifying course.

Healthcare Provider CPR/AED American Heart Association

This American Heart Association CPR class provides training for infant, child and adult CPR and AED (Automated External Defibrillator). The class is appropriate for those who work directly with patients or are involved in a healthcare profession.

The course includes a textbook and CPR certification card. Books will be mailed out prior to class. Please review book before class and then bring to class.

CPR certification cards will be mailed 30 days after completion of the course. Certificates available at class upon request. Also available for scheduling group sessions of 8 or more.

This class is recommended for parents, grandparents, cub scout/girl scout leaders, or for those looking for a certified course. This course meets the requirements for daycare providers if taken in conjunction with the Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid class. Also available for scheduling group sessions of 6 or more.

The second night of class covers the adult first aid portion of the course.

This class is recommended for emergency response teams, safety personnel, construction workers, etc. Also available for scheduling group sessions of 8 or more.
