Your support may be designated to support Life Flight, Cancer Care, Children's programs or to any other department or service. Also, consider making your gift unrestricted, which allows the Medical Center to direct it to the area of greatest need. Cash - The simplest way to give is to write a check specifying the intention of your gift. Cash gifts offer a tax deduction for the full amount of the gift in the year it is made. Your company may match your gift with an equivalent gift of its own. Check with your human resources office. Securities - Gifts of appreciated stocks, bonds and mutual funds provide an even greater tax benefit than giving cash. Planned Giving - These methods may offer excellent income and estate tax benefits to donors based on your specific circumstances. These techniques may also provide income to the donor for life. Payroll Deduction - Portneuf Medical Center employees can give back to the Medical Center conveniently and easily through payroll deduction.
