Finger Pulse Oximeters
Portable devices that allow nurses to quickly assess oxygen saturation and pulse rate in patients with multiple system diseases affecting their respiratory status.

AEDs and EKGs
Through the Outreach department and the Cardio-Vascular Federal Grant, the hospital provided 51 portable AEDs through out the region. Each site chose where these AEDs would be located in their communities to be the most valuable. AED's provide automatic electrical stimulation to restart the heart, and can be used by nearly anyone.

Festival of Trees
This event is dedicated to providing care to local kids. One example of equipment provided by event proceeds is special airway equipment for the Emergency Department to help open the airway of kids and babies who are having difficulty breathing or cannot breathe at all.

Cardiac Equipment
Heart equipment was purchased for local ambulances in Eastern Idaho.

Radiation Oncology
Purchased a Digital Imaging System to provide accurate one-time digital images at a glance and eliminate the use of chemicals, films, and storage costs.

Telemedicine
Funding was provided to start telemedicine program reaching 3 rural counties with a goal of reaching 9 more by the end of 2007. This program will link medical care throughout our region.

Shannon Potter Fun Fund
Donated funds to provide a respite of fun for cancer patients receiving treatment. Examples of fun include dinner, movie tickets, or a manicure. These activities give patients some enjoyment and a sense of normalcy during a difficult time.

Life Flight Equipment
Night vision goggles for the Life Flight helicopter increasing the capability to fly in challenging weather and mountainous conditions.

Brake for Breakfast
Fund was used to provide 1500 pink lunch sacks, magnets and pocket calendars for community members driving through and receiving breakfast, information and a pink magnet to raise community awareness of breast cancer. The event was held in Pocatello, Blackfoot and American Falls and was attended by 2400 people.

Bladder Scanner
A handheld, noninvasive ultrasound instrument that measures bladder volume, supplying caregivers with the information needed to best care for patients with urinary dysfunction.
