Portneuf LifeFlight Aircraft
Our new Agusta 109E helicopter enhances the life-saving combination of helicopter and fixed-wing aircraft.
Based at the Portneuf Medical Center’s West Campus, the helicopter is capable of flying up to 170 miles per hour and operates within an approximate 150-mile radius of Pocatello.
Complimenting Portneuf’s LifeFlight helicopter is our fixed-wing service. A Cessna 414 twin engine, King Air B-200 twin engine, turbo prop, and a jet compliment this fleet. Selection of aircraft is dependent upon patient needs and distance. The Cessna and King Air fly in excess of 200 mph. The jet flies at speeds greater than 500 mph. The aircrafts are able to respond any where within the 48 states and are capable of carrying one patient, 1-2 family members, and the medical crew. The Cessna and King Air E-200 are based at the Pocatello Regional Airport at the AvCenter and the Jet is based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Portneuf LifeFlight averages two life-saving missions each day, carrying residents to the closest appropriate medical facility so they can receive timely medical care. We enjoy the support of over 400 LifeFlight members through our
membership program and are proud to serve the residents of Idaho.
