Family & Visitor Information
The best medicine often comes from your family and friends. Please ask the nurse about specific visiting policies on your floor. Visitation policies may differ in critical care areas, labor and delivery, and pediatric floors.
Please keep these guidelines in mind when visiting:
- Generally, it is best not to visit hospitalized patients when you or your child is ill.
- Patients often have special needs for food or beverages. Please check with the nurse before bringing or giving the patient extra food or beverages.
- Patient bathrooms are for use by patients only. There are public rest rooms throughout the hospital for visitors and staff.
- Patient rooms can comfortably accommodate two visitors at a time. When there are several visitors, please use the patient/visitor lounges on each unit as these areas can more easily accommodate larger groups.
- Attending physicians or nursing staff may ask visitors to leave or remain, depending on a patient's condition and interests.
- Requests for overnight visits should be directed to the nurse for specific patient floor guidelines.
